The app

Screenshots, recordings, OCR text and history are stored locally on your Mac. We do not upload them. Text recognition, element detection and redaction run on-device.

When you use an AI action, the screenshot and your prompt go from your Mac to the AI you chose: your own AI app over MCP, a local model, or a provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter) with your own API key. That provider processes it under its own terms. We never receive it, and we never ask for your AI account credentials.

The app contains no analytics or tracking. If you turn on update checks, the request contains only the app version and macOS version.

The website

The website sets no cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which are cookieless: they count page views, a few anonymous events (like “buy button clicked”) and page speed, without identifying you or following you across sites. Events never contain your email or license key. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive your name, email, country and what you bought, which we use to deliver your license, send receipts and meet accounting obligations (kept for 5 years under Norwegian law).

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your data at hello@zinxo.app. You can complain to Datatilsynet (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority).
